Veronica Bryant is the Environmental Health (EH) Preparedness and Outbreak Coordinator for the North Carolina Environmental Health Section within the NC Division of Public Health with more than 13 years of experience in state and local public health. Veronica holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Appalachian State University. In her current role with NC Public Health, she is responsible for providing training and technical assistance for local environmental health specialists regarding special events, outbreak investigations, and emergencies. Veronica has led environmental health planning the World Equestrian Games, environmental health emergency response during Hurricane Dorian, and has served as one of the Environmental Health Section’s leads during COVID-19 pandemic response. Veronica is an active member of the North Carolina Variance Committee, the Conference for Food Protection, and North Carolina Food Safety and Defense Task Force where she has served as the Chair for 2019-2020.
