Greg Shoemaker is a Managing Director in the credit funds business at Fortress Investment Group, a leading, highly diversified global investment manager with approximately $53 billion of assets under management.

His role at Fortress involves analyzing and working on credit and equity oriented strategies including raising capital for companies, buyouts and control equity, special situation public market credit and equity trades and commercial real estate.

Mr. Shoemaker led the acquisitions of United Oil and Pacific Convenience & Fuels on behalf of Fortress, which created United Pacific, one of the largest independent C&G operators in the western U.S. and most recently led the acquisition of Alta Convenience in a joint venture with Phillips 66. Mr. Shoemaker is on the board for both companies.

Prior to joining Fortress, Greg worked for Coast Asset Management, where he co-led the structured products group, which included managing and trading collateralized loan obligations (“CLOs”) and credit derivatives. Mr. Shoemaker received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
