Biography
Simon Richards serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Thorntons LLC. In this role, Simon is responsible for leading one of Kentucky’s largest privately held corporations. Under his leadership, the business operates Thorntons-branded stores in six states, providing fresh foods, high-quality beverages and fuel to nearly 2,000 guests in each store daily. Prior to taking over leadership at Thorntons, Simon served as a corporate development executive with 24 years of international business experience across five continents. He led various mergers and acquisitions, strategy development and execution with more than $12 billion-dollars-worth of transactions delivered. Most recently, he was head of regional development for BP Products North America Inc.
