Mars Wrigley

Jim Dodge assumed the role of Vice President of Convenience for Mars Wrigley Confectionery in 2017 when Mars combined its portfolio of confectionery brands with over $1.5B in gross sales revenue. Jim was promoted from the Director of Convenience for Mars Chocolate North America where he led a team of 32 associates responsible for over $600M in shipments across six chocolate brands and Combos with emphasis on excellence in Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving to maximize category growth for our customers. 

Prior to his time in the Convenience channel Jim was director of Customer Marketing Future Consumption for Mars Chocolate North America leading a team of internal associates responsible for over $1.7B in shipments across six brands with emphasis on execution of our brand initiatives and strategies acting as the voice of the customer inside the building and the voice of the brands back to our customers. 

Jim joined Mars in September 1998 with the Wrigley Sales Company as Territory Sales Manager. During his 12 years at Wrigley, he worked across channels with key strategic retailers such as BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco Wholesale, CVS Pharmacy and Walmart serving as the Sales Team Leader for all four customers. During his sales career at Wrigley Jim was recognized for sales excellence with 10 Wrigley Globe and Spear Awards and CVS Pharmacy Vendor of the Year in 2006. 

In 2010 Jim joined Mars Chocolate North America in Walmart Sales Operations role transferring from the Wrigley segment then assumed additional responsibility as Walmart Seasonal Account Manager. While on the Walmart seasonal desk he was recognized with the 2011 Sales Achievement Award. In October 2011, Jim relocated to the company’s National Headquarters to work internally with the Seasonal Sales Planners representing all four Seasons and over $900M in total volume. In February 2013 Jim was promoted to Sales Planning Director Portfolio for the everyday business utilizing his customer experience to ready selling materials, develop sales strategy and execution of brand plans while working with all our cross functional units. 

The highlight of Jim’s career was his acceptance into the Mars Tie and Scarf Club recognizing his tenure, track record of sales success and role modeling the 5 Principles professionally and personally every day. 

Jim is now in his 26th year with Mars and resides in Rochester, NY with his wife of 23 years, Debbie and two children Madison 18 and Gigi 13.
